Ingredients
1(6-7 lb.)bone-in turkey breast
3cupsbuttermilk
3tbsphot sauce
2tbspsalt
1tbspdried basil
1tbspgarlic powder
1tbsponion powder
1tbspfreshly ground black pepper
1tspcayenne pepper
4tbspbutter
salt and pepperfor seasoning
Instructions
Combine buttermilk, salt, hot sauce, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and cayenne in a large resealable plastic bag. Add turkey. Refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours.
Preheat oven to 350º. Discard marinade and pat turkey dry with paper towels. Set on a roasting rack set inside a roasting pan. Pour melted butter all over turkey and season generously with salt and pepper.
Roast in oven for about 1 1/2 hours or until internal temperature measures 165º. Let rest 20 minutes before slicing.
