Air Fryer Bang Bang Shrimp

Bang Bang Shrimp is a favorite for many, and by making it in the air fryer, we're cutting out a lot of calories and time standing over a skillet frying it. And the bang bang sauce is so easy and can be used on chicken, seafood or sandwiches.

Ingredients

Shrimp

  • 1 lb jumbo raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your air fryer to 400º for about 3 minutes. Coat shrimp in cornstarch, then dip it in buttermilk, and finally dip shrimp in bread crumbs. Transfer shrimp to air fryer that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray (making sure they don’t touch each other) and cook for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, flip shrimp over and brush or spray a little bit of oil on the top, then cook again for 3-5 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy.
  • While the shrimp is cooking, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, chili sauce and garlic. Season with salt and pepper if needed. Drizzle sauce over cooked shrimp, or place in a bowl for dipping.
