Pierogi and Cheese Casserole
You can’t go wrong with pierogies and cheese. This recipe is simply delicious and has less than 10 ingredients!
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 onion, sliced
- 9 lasagna noodles, uncooked
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 4 oz. package herb and garlic cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled, divided
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375º.
- Sauté onion in butter until caramelized. Cook noodles to package directions. Meanwhile, combine mashed potatoes, cream cheese, cooked onion, 1/2 cup bacon and 1 cup Cheddar cheese.
- Place 3 noodles in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover with 1/3 potato mixture. Repeat layers twice. Top with remaining bacon and Cheddar cheese.
- Bake covered dish for 30 minutes or until heated through. Uncover; bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
