No-Bake Honey Nut Cheerio Bars
No-bake honey nut Cheerio bars are perfect for a quick breakfast or snack on the go. Try your favorite dried fruit, nut or seed in these bars. Customize them to your liking!
Ingredients
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
- 1 cup raisins, optional
- 1/2 cup chocolate-covered almonds or peanuts
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Line an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray; set aside. In a large pan over medium heat, combine butter, honey and brown sugar. Heat until melted and bubbly.
- Stir in vanilla, cereal and raisins. Pour mixture into prepared pan, packing it down firmly with a spatula and smoothing the top. Sprinkle almonds and salt overtop. Place in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours, or overnight until bars are completely set. Cut into squares.
