Whole Wheat Banana Bread Waffles

Easy, delicious and healthy! These Whole Wheat Banana Bread Waffles are a win-win.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 bananas, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • Syrup for serving

Instructions

  1. In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Make a well in the center and pour in milk, egg, vanilla, butter and one mashed banana. Stir together until combined. Stir in pecans.
  2. Pour 1/3 cup batter into a greased waffle maker and cook until desired doneness. Serve with fresh cut banana and syrup.
