Slow Cooker Country Style Ribs
With the busy season coming up, dinners are getting to be harder to prepare. Slow cookers are a great way to get a delicious and balanced dinner on the table in between work and the kids activities. Ribs are a favorite, and what better way to have them than with gravy! This recipe is not only easy, but is delicious and full of hearty ingredients.
To begin this recipe, you will need 3 pounds of country-style pork ribs, 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt, 1/2 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper, divided, 1 pound of potatoes (you can use Idaho, red or yellow) halved or quartered, 1 cup of baby carrots, 4 celery ribs, cut into 1-inch pieces, 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped, 1/2 of a cup water or chicken broth, 2 cloves of minced garlic, and 1 can ( 10.75 oz.) of condensed cream of mushroom soup.
You want to start by sprinkling the ribs with salt and pepper, then transfer to a large slow cooker. Add your potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, mushroom, water and garlic overtop. Make sure you stir everything together so it’s nicely combined. Then cover and cook on low until meat and vegetables are tender, about 6-8 hours. Once your cooking time is up, remove the meat and vegetables, then skim fat from cooking juices if necessary. Whisk the cream of mushroom soup into cooking juices until dissolved, then return meat and vegetables to slow cooker. Cover and cook again until everything is heated through, about 15-30 minutes longer. If you don’t have time for this last step, you can also serve immediately.
This is an easy recipe that is delicious and perfect for those busy nights. Your whole family will love these ribs and will be going back for seconds. Enjoy!
