Whole Wheat Banana Bread Waffles

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 2 bananas, divided
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- Syrup for serving
Instructions
- In large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Make a well in the center and pour in milk, egg, vanilla, butter and one mashed banana. Stir together until combined. Stir in pecans.
- Pour 1/3 cup batter into a greased waffle maker and cook until desired doneness. Serve with fresh cut banana and syrup.
