Caramelized Peach Caprese

Caramelized Peach Caprese

A fresh, easy, peachy surprise you will love!

What You’ll Need:

  • 2 to 3 peaches, sliced about 1/2 inch thick
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) ball fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 10 to 15 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

Directions:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter to the skillet. Sprinkle the peaches with the brown sugar. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add peaches and cook until golden and caramelized, about 3 minutes on each side.
  2. To assemble the salad, alternate a peach slice with a slice of fresh mozzarella and a few basil leaves, making a row or a circle. Sprinkle the salad with sea salt and pepper. Drizzle generously with olive oil and balsamic.
