Ingredients
- 8 regular-sized mason jar lids, with rubber seal of center insert facing down
- 1 (14 oz.) box refrigerated pie crust
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
- 1 egg, whisked with 1 Tbsp. water
- Course sugar, for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Unroll dough and use a 3 1/4-inch cookie cutter to cut 16 circles. Line the bottom of each lid with a circle of dough, pressing up the sides. Spoon 3 tablespoons of pie filling onto each lid. Wet edges of each pie rim with water, then top with a circle of dough. Fold bottom crust over the top and crimp to seal.
- Place pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top of each pie with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Cut 3 slits in the top of each pie. Bake about 25 minutes, until crust is golden brown.
