Slow Cooker Beef Ziti
Ground beef, jar pasta sauce and ziti pasta from your local Sparkle come together in this easy weeknight dinner recipe for Slow Cooker Beef Ziti.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (20 oz.) jar pasta sauce
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 (1 lb.) box ziti pasta
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add ground beef, onion, garlic and salt. Cook until browned. Drain excess grease, then transfer to slow cooker.
- To slow cooker, add basil, parsley, Italian seasoning, tomatoes, pasta sauce and water. Stir, cover and cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 3 hours.
- Turn slow cooker to high (if not already) and stir in pasta. Cover and cook for 15 to 30 minutes, until pasta is cooked. Top with cheese, cover and cook 3 minutes, until cheese is melted.
