Pigs in a Blanket Wreath
Need to whip up a party appetizer? Get creative with a Pigs in a Blanket Wreath, using little smokies, crescent rolls and rosemary sprigs.
Ingredients
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 24 little smokies
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 2 tsp. poppy seeds
- Rosemary sprigs, for garnish
- Ketchup, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Unroll crescent roll dough and cut each triangle into thirds, lengthwise. Brush crescent dough with mustard. Place a little smokie on the wide end of each triangle and roll up.
- Arrange rolled smokies side by side, touching, in a circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. In a small bowl, mix together egg and water. Brush on the tops of each crescent, then sprinkle with poppy seeds. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, until crescents are golden. Let cool at least 20 minutes.
- Transfer ring to a serving plate. Arrange rosemary sprigs in a circle around the inside of the wreath. Place a small bowl filled with ketchup in the center.
