Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
  • 8 oz. canned cranberry sauce
  • 6 oz. jarred chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. dried red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. In a large bowl combine beef, eggs, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and thyme. Shape mixture into about 24 (1-inch) balls.
  2. Cook meatballs, in batches, in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Remove meatballs from pan and drain well on paper towels.
  3. Stir together cranberry sauce, chili sauce, orange marmalade, water, soy sauce, vinegar and red pepper flakes in a large Dutch oven over medium heat. Whisking occasionally, cook for 5 minutes or until smooth. Add meatballs; reduce heat to low and cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until centers are no longer pink.
