Spinach and Cheese Palmiers
A tasty cheese-filled appetizer for any gathering!
Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed
- 1 (10 oz.) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Lay puff pastry sheet flat on a cutting board. In a medium bowl mix spinach, cheeses, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Spread mixture on puff pastry, leaving about 1/2-inch border.
- Roll one side of puff pastry into the center. Then roll the other side into the center. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap and place in freezer for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400º.
- Remove plastic and cut into 1/2-inch slices. Place on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
