Pineapple Pulled Pork Sliders
Pineapple Pulled Pork Sliders are perfect for upcoming gatherings and football tailgates. Cook this meal overnight for an easy, delicious dinner or lunch!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup pineapple juice
- 3 Tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. grated ginger
- 1/2 Tbsp. hot sauce
- 3 lbs. pork butt or shoulder
- 2 cups pineapple chunks
- Red cabbage, chopped green onion and slider buns for serving
Instructions
- Mix barbecue sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, five spice powder, garlic, ginger and hot sauce in a bowl. Place pork into the slow cooker, top with half of the sauce and pineapple. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for about 4 hours.
- Remove pork, trim fat and shred with a fork. Mix in remaining sauce and juices from the slow cooker.
- Top buns with pulled pork, cabbage, green onions and pineapple chunks.
