Cheesy Chicken Parm Burger
Love chicken parmesan? We are adding a twist to the traditional recipe, try Cheesy Chicken Parm Burgers! Each burger is filled with cheese and topped with marinara sauce and fresh basil.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. salt, divided
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 1 lb. ground chicken
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. dried parsley flakes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 slices fresh Mozzarella cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- Marinara sauce and fresh basil for serving
Instructions
- Combine bread crumbs, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese in a bowl. In a separate large bowl, mix together chicken, remaining salt and Parmesan cheese, pepper, oregano, basil, parsley and garlic.
- Form chicken mixture into eight thin patties. Place a slice of Mozzarella cheese in the middle of four patties. Place the remaining chicken patties overtop and seal edges, making sure the cheese is fully covered.
- Cover each patty with the bread crumb mixture. Cook in a pan over medium-high heat for 4 minutes on each side. Plate on a bun with marinara sauce and fresh basil leaves.
