Everything Bagel Breakfast Casserole

Everything Bagel Breakfast Casserole can be made ahead for Christmas morning. The dish brings together everything breakfast, including bagels, cheese, eggs and more!

Ingredients

  • 6 everything bagels, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb. bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2 cups Jarlsberg or Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups half and half or milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped chives

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Add half of the bagel cubes. Sprinkle with half of the bacon, half the cheese and half the cream cheese. Repeat with another layer of remaining ingredients.
  2. In a bowl combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Whisk until combined. Pour egg mixture over bagels. Cover casserole dish and place in refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 350º.
  4. Cover casserole with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 minutes. Let cool before serving. Garnish with chives.
