Game Day Beer Chili

Game Day Beer Chili

Full of hearty flavor, Game Day Beer Chili will keep you warm, even when the tailgating weather isn’t.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 bottle beer
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Cheddar cheese and sour cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with bell pepper and onion for about 10 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Transfer mixture to large slow cooker.
  2. Add tomatoes, chili powder, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, oregano, salt, tomato paste, beer, beans and pepper.
  3. Stir and cook on low for 4 to 8 hours. Serve with Cheddar and sour cream on top.
