Cheesy Kielbasa and SauerKraut

Start the new year in good luck with Cheesy Kielbasa and Sauerkraut.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) package egg noodles
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese
  • 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 (16 oz.) package kielbasa, cubed
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Cook noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  3. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Whisk in flour, dry mustard, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper. Cook until smooth, about 2 minutes. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, and bring to boil. Continue stirring until thick. Add cheese until melted.
  4. Add noodles, sauerkraut and kielbasa to sauce. Transfer to a casserole dish and top with bread crumbs. Bake about 20 minutes.
