Creamy Shrimp Chowder

For dinner, make Creamy Shrimp Chowder. The combination of warm spices and sweet corn in this recipe make for a delicious meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 (10.75 oz.) can condensed cream of potato soup
  • 1 (10.75 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (7 oz.) can corn, drained
  • 1/2 tsp. Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 lb. cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 oz. crab meat
  • 2 oz. cream cheese, cubed

Instructions

  1. In a small skillet over medium heat, sauté onions in butter until tender.
  2. Meanwhile, add evaporated milk, cream of potato soup, cream of chicken soup, corn, Cajun seasoning and garlic powder to a slow cooker. Add onions and stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours. Add shrimp, crab and cream cheese, then cook for an addition 30 minutes. Stir to combine, then serve.
