Blackened Fish Burger
For your next lunch or dinner, prepare a light and spicy Blackened Fish Burger. With a toasted bun, spicy fish fillet and flavorful sauce, this burger is packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- Rub
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground oregano
- 1/2 tsp. cumin
- Burger
- 2 (4-6 oz.) cod filets
- 1 cup chopped purple cabbage
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 buns, toasted
- 1/4 cup mayo
- 1 Tbsp. Sriracha
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup arugula
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°.
- In a small bowl, mix cayenne, pepper, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano and cumin.
- Pat fish dry and season with rub. Place fish on a baking sheet lined with foil. In a small bowl, toss cabbage with oil and salt. Add to same baking sheet and cook for about 6 minutes.
- In a small bowl combine mayo, Sriracha and garlic. Spread mixture on the bottoms buns. Add cabbage, then fish. Add arugula, top with bun and serve.
