BBQ Bourbon Pork Chops

Fire up the grill this summer and make BBQ Bourbon Pork Chops. A sweet and spicy glaze make this barbecue pork chop recipe a favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt, divided
  • 1 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper, divided
  • 8 (1-inch-thick) bone-in pork chops

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add oil, garlic, chili powder and cayenne pepper and cook for 1 minute. Add ketchup, bourbon, molasses, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire. Let simmer until thickened, about 12 to 15 minutes. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
  2. Heat grill to medium-high. Season pork chops evenly with remaining 1 teaspoon salt and pepper. Place on grill and cook about 5 minutes. Turn and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Baste with glaze and cook for 4 more minutes, or until internal temperature is 135°. Transfer to a platter and baste once more. Serve with remaining glaze.
