Cheese Dip with Pretzel Bites
For a delicious and surprisingly easy-to-make snack, make Cheese Dip with Pretzel Bites, using prepared pizza dough.
Ingredients
Pretzel Bites
- 1 container pre-made pizza dough
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
Cheese Dip
- 2 cups chopped processed cheese
- 1 (10.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
Instructions
Pretzel Bites
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- On top of a cutting board, roll out pizza dough. Cut dough into 2 x 2-inch squares. Roll each into a ball.
- In a large pot, bring 2 quarts of water to a boil. Add baking soda, then add dough balls and cook about 2 to 4 minutes, until puffed up. Use a slotted spoon to transfer dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush dough balls with egg and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Cheese Dip
- In a large pot over medium heat, add cheese, tomatoes, green onions and cumin. Cook, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted. Serve with pretzel bites.
