Sausage Stroganoff

Sausage Stroganoff

Looking to switch up your usual stroganoff recipe? Try making Sausage Stroganoff, complete with (you guessed it) plenty of spicy sausage.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. uncooked egg noodles
  • 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 8 oz. sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add sausage, mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cook until meat is no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper and paprika, then gradually stir in beef broth. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Top with parsley and serve over noodles.
