Sausage Stroganoff
Looking to switch up your usual stroganoff recipe? Try making Sausage Stroganoff, complete with (you guessed it) plenty of spicy sausage.
Ingredients
- 8 oz. uncooked egg noodles
- 1 lb. bulk pork sausage
- 8 oz. sliced mushrooms
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add sausage, mushrooms, onion and garlic. Cook until meat is no longer pink, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper and paprika, then gradually stir in beef broth. Bring to a boil and cook until thickened, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Top with parsley and serve over noodles.
