Tater Tot Casserole

If you’re hosting or attending a party for the Big Game and looking for something different to make, try this tater tot casserole. It will for sure be a crowd-pleaser and is even an easy dinner for any night of the week.

To make this hearty dish, you’ll need 1 ½ pounds of ground beef, 1 onion, diced, 1/4 teaspoon of seasoned salt, ¼ teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 Tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, divided, one 10 oz. can of cream of mushroom soup, and 1 pound of frozen tater tots.

Start by preheating the oven to 350º. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion until the meat is browned and the onion is soft and translucent. Season with seasoned salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Transfer the beef to the bottom of an 8×8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the sharp cheddar cheese. Spread the cream of mushroom soup over top of the cheese and ground beef as the next layer. Top with tater tots in a single layer and sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
