Margherita Flatbread

Margherita Flatbread

Ingredients

  • 1 (13.8 oz.) can prepared pizza crust
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 6 slices fresh Mozzarella cheese, 1/2-inch thick
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 6 fresh basil leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º.
  2. In a bowl, mix garlic and oil. Brush crust with half of the oil garlic mixture. Place crust on a baking sheet or stone and bake in oven for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove crust from the oven and place cheese over top. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place tomatoes on crust and bake for another 7 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile mix balsamic vinegar with remaining oil garlic mixture. Once flatbread is baked and edges are golden, remove from oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar mixture. Add basil leaves overtop and serve warm.
