Game Day Beer Chili
Full of hearty flavor, Game Day Beer Chili will keep you warm, even when the tailgating weather isn’t.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. cumin
- 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. tomato paste
- 1 bottle beer
- 2 (15 oz.) cans red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Cheddar cheese and sour cream, for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with bell pepper and onion for about 10 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Transfer mixture to large slow cooker.
- Add tomatoes, chili powder, cayenne, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, oregano, salt, tomato paste, beer, beans and pepper.
- Stir and cook on low for 4 to 8 hours. Serve with Cheddar and sour cream on top.
