Veggie Calzone

Veggie Calzones are done in less than 20 minutes! It’s a versatile recipe, simply add meat or your favorite ingredients to your desired liking.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza crust
  • 3/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped zucchini
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup chopped broccoli
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°.
  2. In large bowl, combine mushrooms, zucchini, peppers, broccoli, spinach, green onions, garlic salt, dried basil
  3. and Italian seasoning; mix well.
  4. Unroll dough; pat to form 14 x 10-inch rectangle. Cut dough into four 7 x 5-inch rectangles. Divide cheese
  5. evenly onto half of each rectangle. Top cheese with vegetable mixture. Fold untopped dough over filling
  6. and press edges firmly to seal. Place on a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Brush each with oil.
  7. With a knife cut 3 small slits in the top for steam to escape. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden
  8. brown. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping
