Cheese Steak Quesadillas
Perfect for lunch and dinner, make Cheese Steak Quesadillas, where melty provolone is the star.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 4 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt, divided
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper, divided
- 2 sirloin steaks, cut into strips
- 1 tsp. steak seasoning
- 8 slices Provolone cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon oil.
- Add onion, peppers and mushrooms. Season with 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Cook 6 to 8 minutes and place in a bowl.
- Add steak to pan and season with 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, steak seasoning and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side. Add to bowl with onions, peppers and mushrooms.
- Remove pan from heat and wipe clean.
- Put 1 slice of cheese on half of tortilla. Top with steak mixture. Layer 1 more slice of cheese and fold in half. Cook each side over medium heat in a pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
