Biscuits ‘n Gravy Ring
Next time you make breakfast, try this unique take on classic biscuits and gravy!
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. bulk Sparkle sausage
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1 egg, whisked with 1 tsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. freshly chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a medium skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until brown. Sprinkle flour over sausage and cook for about a minute.
- Add milk and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until thick, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and cayenne. Turn off heat.
- Cut each biscuit in half and roll into balls. Place around the edge of a greased ovenproof skillet to form a ring. Make sure biscuits are touching. Pour gravy mixture in the center.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until biscuits are golden. Garnish with parsley and serve.
