Cheesy Kielbasa and Sauerkraut
Start the new year in good luck with Cheesy Kielbasa and Sauerkraut.
Ingredients
- 1 (12 oz.) package egg noodles
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup Swiss cheese
- 2 cups sauerkraut, drained
- 1 (16 oz.) package kielbasa, cubed
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Cook noodles according to package directions and set aside.
- Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Whisk in flour, dry mustard, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper. Cook until smooth, about 2 minutes. Whisk in milk, a little at a time, and bring to boil. Continue stirring until thick. Add cheese until melted.
- Add noodles, sauerkraut and kielbasa to sauce. Transfer to a casserole dish and top with bread crumbs. Bake about 20 minutes.
