Bourbon Bread Pudding

Bourbon Bread Pudding

For your next dessert, make Bourbon Bread Pudding. It’s extra flavorful and filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 cup raisins, soaked in bourbon
  • Bourbon Sauce
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bourbon whiskey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a large bowl, add bread cubes and milk. Press until all milk is absorbed. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, vanilla, allspice and cinnamon. Pour over bread mixture. Add raisins and stir to combine. Add the bread mixture to a 9 x 13-inch baking dish coated with nonstick spray and bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
  3. Bourbon Sauce
  4. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Whisk in sugar and egg. Stir until thick. Add bourbon and serve with bread pudding.
