Apple & Cheddar Burgers

Apple and Cheddar Burgers

For dinner this week, use some seasonal apples to make Apple & Cheddar Burgers. Topped with a mustard aioli, this burger has lots of flavor.

Ingredients

Mustard Aioli

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

 

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 apple, peeled and grated
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon, lemon juice and garlic powder. Cover and refrigerate.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, grated apple, salt and pepper. Form into four patties. Grill about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  4. Spread mustard aioli onto each bottom bun. Top with patties and cheese, then serve.
  5. *For a low-carb alternative, serve burgers on apple slices instead of buns.
