Meal Plan that’s Perfect for the Kids

Meal Plan for the Kids

One of the hardest things about planning dinners is picky kids. We’ve pulled together some recipes that are not only easy, but the kids will be sure to love. Try making your own home-made versions of frozen favorites: chicken tenders and fish sticks. It’s also extra fun to do something totally different like breakfast for dinner or a casserole using ramen noodles that even hides some broccoli.

Monday

Potato Chip Chicken Tenders

A favorite of almost any kid is chicken tenders and they are very easy to make at home in your air fryer or oven. Instead of the typical bread crumb or batter coating, try covering the chicken in another kid-favorite… potato chips. Serve this up with some French fries or tater tots for a meal they’ll love.

Tuesday

Sloppy Joe Grilled Cheese Casserole with Ham Mac and Cheese Muffins

Combine sloppy joes and grilled cheese for the ultimate sandwich. Assemble the sandwiches and bake so you don’t have to use a pan to crisp them up. Pair the sandwiches with mac and cheese muffins using your favorite boxed version and transferred to a muffin tin. The leftovers are great for the kids’ lunches the next day.

Wednesday

Breakfast for Dinner: Breakfast Bagel Casserole and/or Baked Pancakes

It’s always fun to do something fun and different for dinner… so try making breakfast for dinner! Whether you like bagels and cream cheese or pancakes, try one of these recipes. You can make the Bagel Casserole up to a day ahead of time, so it’s ready to pop in the oven for dinner. Or if pancakes are a favorite of your kids, no need to stand over the stovetop and make them individually, baked pancakes make this favorite super easy.

Thursday

Chicken Ramen Casserole

Hide a little broccoli in the kids’ diet with this easy ramen casserole. Take some packages of ramen noodles, layer them in a casserole dish, add a couple ingredients and bake. The oven does all the work for this easy recipe.

Friday

Homemade Fish Sticks and Tartar Sauce

What kid doesn’t love fish sticks? No need to reach for a box of frozen ones, with just a few ingredients, you can make your own. You can also make your own tartar sauce, even though most kids prefer ketchup.

Saturday

Taco Pizza

Whether the little ones want to watch some football on tv or have a game to play, this recipe combines two favorites – tacos and pizza. This one is done in only 30 minutes and will be a favorite.

Sunday

Beef and Tomato Pasta

Chili, macaroni and cheese are a delicious combination that’s easy to put together (all in one pot) and a hearty meal the little ones will love. Just pair it with some garlic bread for an easy Sunday dinner.
