Creamy Shrimp Chowder
For dinner, make Creamy Shrimp Chowder. The combination of warm spices and sweet corn in this recipe make for a delicious meal.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 tsp. butter
- 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 (10.75 oz.) can condensed cream of potato soup
- 1 (10.75 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (7 oz.) can corn, drained
- 1/2 tsp. Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 lb. cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 oz. crab meat
- 2 oz. cream cheese, cubed
Instructions
- In a small skillet over medium heat, sauté onions in butter until tender.
- Meanwhile, add evaporated milk, cream of potato soup, cream of chicken soup, corn, Cajun seasoning and garlic powder to a slow cooker. Add onions and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 3 hours. Add shrimp, crab and cream cheese, then cook for an addition 30 minutes. Stir to combine, then serve.
