Slow Cooker Bacon Green Beans
This summer, don’t fuss with the oven. Instead, use your slow cooker to make Slow Cooker Bacon Green Beans. BBQ sauce, brown sugar and bacon take these beans to the next level.
Ingredients
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 4 (14.5 oz.) cans green beans, drained
Instructions
- In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook bacon. Transfer to a plate and discard all but 2 tablespoons of grease. Add onion to remaining grease in pan and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire, pepper and cayenne.
- Add green beans to a greased slow cooker. Top with onions and ketchup mixture. Stir to coat. Sprinkle with bacon pieces and cook on low for 4 hours.
