Pecan Pie Brownies

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 7 eggs (divided)
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 box brownie mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup oil
- 2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, 4 eggs, butter and vanilla. Stir often.
- In the meantime, in a large bowl, combine brownie mix, remaining 3 eggs, water and oil. Transfer mixture to a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for about 15 minutes.
- While brownies are baking, continue stirring pecan filling until thick enough to coat your spoon. Stir in pecans and cook about 2 to 3 more minutes. Remove brownies from oven and top with pecan filling. Return to oven and bake about 25 minutes.
