Steak Gyros
If you love gyros, you will LOVE these Steak Gyros! Customize them with your favorite toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. flank steak or London Broil
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tomato, thinly sliced
- 4 pitas
- Romaine lettuce and tzatziki sauce for serving
Instructions
- Place steak, olive oil, Worcestershire, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper and lemon juice in a large resealable bag and refrigerate for 1 to 8 hours.
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Use tongs to transfer steak to grill and discard excess marinade. Cook steak for 6 to 8 minutes on each side until desired doneness. Transfer steak to a cutting board and allow meat to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Add onion, tomato, lettuce and steak to each pita. Drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
