Mushroom Burger with Aioli
Mushroom Burger with Aioli is a juicy, delicious summer treat. This gluten free burger recipe will be on your menu all summer long!
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lbs. lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp. salt, divided
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 (8 oz.) carton sliced white mushrooms
- 2 tsp. fresh thyme
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. stone ground mustard, divided
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. horseradish
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tomato, cut into 4 thick slices
- 2 cups spinach
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium high heat.
- Combine beef, salt, pepper, onion powder and Worcestershire. Form into four patties. Set aside.
- Heat a large sauté pan to medium-high heat. Add butter and onion and sauté for 5 to 7 minutes, until slightly caramelized. Add in mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes. Add in thyme and 1/2 tablespoon mustard. Stir to combine.
- Grill burgers on each side for 5 minutes or until desired doneness. In a small bowl, add mayonnaise, horseradish, 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard, lemon juice and ¼ teaspoon salt. Stir until combined. Place tomatoes on a plate, then spinach, burger, aioli and mushroom mixture. If desired, serve on a bun.
