Grilled Honey Dijon Drumsticks
We are making our own homemade honey Dijon sauce to baste over grilled chicken. The sauce only takes 5 minutes to come together and is a perfect combination of sweet and savory.
Ingredients
- 12 chicken drumsticks
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Combine honey, ketchup, brown sugar, vegetable oil, water, vinegar,
- mustard, paprika, soy sauce and garlic powder. Bring to boil then reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the sauce is thick and bubbly, remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Preheat grill.
- Season chicken with seasoned salt and pepper. Place chicken on grill coated with cooking spray. Grill for 15 minutes on each side. Baste chicken generously with sauce and grill for 1 minute. Turn chicken, baste again and cook for 1 minute. Serve with remaining sauce.
