Chicken with Tomato Butter Sauce

Chicken with Tomato Butter Sauce is made with ingredients you typically have at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 5 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 8 oz. linguine, cooked to package directions

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Add chicken and pan-fry for several minutes on each side until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. Add tomatoes to pan and simmer until tomatoes make a chunky sauce. Add garlic and butter and stir to combine. Stir in basil, oregano and red pepper flakes. Add chicken back into mixture and let simmer for a few minutes. Top pasta with chicken and sauce.
