Beer Brats with Dijon Onions

Ingredients
Dijon Onions
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp. white wine vinegar
Beer Brats
- 24 oz. lager
- 8 bratwursts
- Buns, for serving
Instructions
Dijon Onions
- Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium-low heat. Add onions and salt and cook, stirring frequently, for about 15 to 25 minutes. Stir in sugar, mustard and white wine vinegar. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Beer Brats
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, add lager. Once simmering, add brats and cook 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to a large skillet or grill and cook until browned on all sides. Serve on buns with onions.
