Walking Tacos
Hosting a party and not sure what to make? Serve Walking Tacos! Cook taco meat, then let guests make their taco bags.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 jalapenos, seeds removed and diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 (14 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 (14 oz.) can diced tomatoes, drained
- 4 small chip bags
- Shredded lettuce, Cheddar cheese and sour cream for serving
Instructions
- In a large sauce pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until beginning to soften. Add jalapenos and cook an additional 3 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until done. Stir in taco seasoning.
- Add tomato sauce, kidney beans and tomatoes to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until heated through. To assemble, open chip bags. Divide meat mixture evenly among the bags and sprinkle with cheese. Add sour cream and lettuce.
